The parish church of Saint-Milliau is located in Plonévez-Porzay.
The original parish church no longer exists. It was dedicated to Saint Stephen before being dedicated to Saint Milliau. It was a church like those of Kerlaz and Ploéven.
The lightning struck its bell tower twice: the first time on May 9, 1802 and the second time on December 26, 1805 at 8:00 p.m. the day of the pardon of Saint-Etienne.
The pardon of the parish was celebrated before the French Revolution on October 2nd, the day of Saint-Milliau which was not celebrated. Since 1833 this saint is celebrated on the second Sunday of August.
The present parish church was built in 1867-1868 and its bell tower in 1873. Jules Boyer, from Châteaulin drew up the plans.
