Facts and practical information
The Arch of Diana is the main vestige of the Roman baths of Divona Cadurcorum, the Gallo-Roman city that later became Cahors.
Contrary to what its name suggests, it is not a temple or a triumphal arch dedicated to the goddess Diana. The thermal baths of which it is one of the walls are built under the High Roman Empire, without more possible precision. They were probably disused during the 4th century, but their complete plan could not be found.
