Église Saint-Urcisse, Cahors
Facts and practical information
The parish church of Saint-Urcisse de Cahors, located near the banks of the Lot in the medieval town of Cahors, is considered one of the major buildings that testify to the transition from Romanesque to Gothic art in Quercy.
The church was listed in the Inventaire supplémentaire des Monuments historiques in September 1926. In 1988, the church was finally classified in its entirety. Several objects are referenced in the Palissy database.
Today, the church, inaccessible on three sides except the west, is closed to the public for safety reasons related to the instability of the building.
