Chapelle du Saint-Pilon

The Saint-Pilon chapel is a chapel located in the Var part of the Sainte-Baume massif, on the territory of the commune of Riboux, on the border with that of Plan-d'Aups-Sainte-Baume.
Located above the grotto of the Sainte-Baume, it is part of the sanctuary dedicated to Saint Mary Magdalene. Of modest size and rectangular structure, it has undergone several restorations and reconstructions, especially after its destruction during the French Revolution. The last restoration was done from 2017 to 2019.
Located on a ridge near a long-distance hiking trail and with a wide panorama, it is a popular stopping point for hikers. The chapel is also part of the geodesic points referenced by the IGN.
