A mosque in Sorok Tatars - a Tatar mosque in the Lithuanian village of Sorok Tatary, in the Vilnius district.
The Tatar community existed in the area since the 15th century, when Prince Witold set them there. It is known that the mosque in the village existed since the mid -sixteenth century.
The current mosque was built in 1815. A wooden building on a rectangular plan is covered with a hip roof in the middle of which is a multi -bound drum finished with a onion dome above which the crescent is located.
The interior is divided by a wall into two parts intended for men and women. A separate vestibule leads to each part.
Around the mosque there is Mizar with tombstones from the 16th century. The second mizar, newer, is located on a nearby hill.
A characteristic feature of this mosque is the lack of Mihrab.
