Lake Monowai

Mackinnon Pass

Europeans didn't discover it until 1888 Quintin McKinnon and Ernest Mitchell and a memorial to the discovery stands in its place today.

Mount Tūtoko
Mount Tūtoko is the highest peak in Fiordland National Park, in southwest New Zealand. It lies between the Hollyford Valley and Milford Sound, 15 kilometres due north of the Homer Tunnel at the northern end of the Darran Mountains. The glacier-covered mountain rises to a height of 2,723 metres and is visible from the Hollyford Track.
Grainger Falls
Grainger Falls is a waterfall in Fiordland, New Zealand. It is a combination of a tiered and fan type waterfall. Grainger Falls was first recorded by Andreas Reischek, an Austrian who explored New Zealand in the 1880s.
Helena Falls
Helena Falls is a waterfall in the Fiordland National Park in New Zealand that empties into Doubtful Sound. A walking track from the road end at Doubtful Sound goes to the base of the waterfall. They are named after Helene Fels.
Green Lake
Green Lake is a lake in Hunter Mountains in the Southland Region of New Zealand located to the north of Lake Monowai. The lake has no surface outlets but probably feeds several streams draining to lake Monowai via springs.
Lake McKerrow / Whakatipu Waitai
Lake McKerrow / Whakatipu Waitai lies at the northern end of Fiordland, in the southwest of New Zealand's South Island. The lake runs from southeast to northwest, is 15 kilometres in length, and covers 28 km².
Mount Edgecumbe
Mount Edgecumbe is a mountain in the Fiordland National Park in the Southland Region of New Zealand. It is situated on the southern side of Cook Channel, an arm of Dusky Sound and is the westernmost of a small mountain range containing several higher but unnamed peaks.
Mount Titiroa
Mt Titiroa is a prominent landmark of the Te Anau Basin area of northern Southland on the eastern flank of Fiordland National Park. It is known for its white granite rock which gives its summit the appearance of lingering snow even throughout the summer months, and is clearly visible from Te Anau township.
Mount Moturau

Aurora Cave
Aurora Cave is a limestone cave, part of the Te Ana-au Caves in Fiordland, in the South Island of New Zealand on the western side of a deep glacial trough containing Lake Te Anau. Aurora Cave is separated by a sump from Te Ana-au Cave.
Lake Alabaster
Lake Alabaster / Wāwāhi Waka, also known by the Māori name of Waiwahuika, lies at the northern end of Fiordland, in the southwest of New Zealand's South Island. The lake runs from northeast to southwest, is six kilometres in length, and covers 7 km².

Lake Innes is a lake in the South Island of New Zealand. The lake is part of the Aan River. It was named by surveyor John Hay after his colleague John Innes.
Hunter Mountains
The Hunter Mountains of Lake Manapouri, New Zealand, were named by surveyor James McKerrow after the famous anatomist John Hunter. The Hunter Mountain Range covers an area between The South Arm and Hope Arm of Lake Manapouri South to the Green Lake.
Lake Alice
Lake Alice is a small lake at the eastern end of Te Houhou / George Sound approximately 52 km north west of Te Anau in the Southland region of the South Island. The lake is fed by the Edith River and flows into George Sound via Alice Falls.
Franklin Mountains
The Franklin Mountains of New Zealand are a group of peaks in the southwestern area of the South Island, located between Bligh Sound and Lake Te Anau, within Fiordland National Park.
