Zawratowa Turnia, Tatra National Park

Zawratowa Turnia - a crag in the eastern ridge of Świnica in the High Tatras. It is located in this ridge between the Blue Turnia, separated by the Blue Pass, and Small Kozie Wierch, from which it is separated by the Zawrat Pass.
From Zawratową Turni goes in north direction Grań Kościelców, in which stand out successively from the turni Zadni Kościelec, Kościelec and Mały Kościelec. Zawratowa Turnia rises above the three glacial kettles. Its northwestern slopes descend to the Mylna Kotlinka.
The name of the crag comes from the neighboring Zawrat Pass.
Under the pass itself in the rock there is a statue of Our Lady. It was placed there in 1904 by Father Walenty Gadowski and Klimek Bachleda on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the proclamation of the dogma of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary.
First known ascents: summer: E. Vitlaczil in 1889 in winter: Henryk Bednarski, Józef Lesiecki, Leon Loria and Stanisław Zdyb on January 1 or 2, 1910.
