Tołsta, Nadsiansky Regional Landscape Park

Tolsta - a peak in the Western Bieszczady Mountains.

It is located between the valleys of the San River in the east and the Solinka River in the west. It belongs to the ridge running from Połoma to the north and ending with the massif of Kamienny Horbu located by the waters of Solina Lake, with which Tolsta neighbors from the north.

The massif is characterized by a grid-like relief typical for the region - the top, ending on both sides with slopes descending to the valleys of the neighboring rivers, is built of more resistant rocks and runs in the NNW-SSE direction at a length of about 1.8 km, while the watershed ridge runs along its fragment and then changes direction slightly and descends steeply into the neighboring area built of rocks more susceptible to erosion. In the southern part of the massif, the ridge separates from the summit plateau at the top, descending to the southwest, while from the second keystone, located about 1 km further to the NNW, it descends to the north. The remaining sections of the top are side ridges - a short section in the northern part of the mountain and a longer section running from the top, culminating in an unbroken hill of 626 m above sea level. In addition, a short side arm, the so-called Werbuk, branches off to the west from the highest point.

The slopes descending from the Tolsta River are cut by small valleys of local streams. In the lower part of the north-eastern slope there are valleys of several tributaries of the San, among others the Roztoczek. Parallel to the top there flow the Rohaczówka and Głuchy streams limiting the massif from the south.

The Tolsta Massif is protected by two landscape parks. The western part includes Ciśniańsko-Wetliński Landscape Park, the eastern part - the San River Valley Landscape Park, between which the border is drawn by the watershed of the Solinka and San river basins.

The mountain is completely forested, so it has no scenic view. There are no marked hiking trails leading here.
