Pośrednia Turnia - the second peak of the High Tatras from the west, lying in the main ridge of the Tatras, between Skrajna Turnia and Świnica, from which it is separated by Świnicka Pass. To both of these passes descends by steep and rocky slopes. In the north-east direction to the Zielona Gąsienicowa Valley forms a short rocky ridge. Its north-western slopes descend to the Skrajny Żleb descending from the Skrajna Pass, the south-eastern slopes to the Świnicka Kotlinka. In the south-east direction to the bottom of the Walentek Valley falls evenly sloping slope, in the upper part it is a rocky rubble, lower it is rocky and grassy, at the bottom it is covered with dwarf pine. The summit is built of granitoids
Rare plants include the Carpathian stinging bug - a species found in Poland only in the Tatra Mountains and only in a few locations.
The name is of folk origin. Shepherds from Hala Gąsienicowa gave it, probably because the peak occupies an intermediate position between Swinica and Skrajna Turnia. On the top of Pośredniej Turni climbed goaters for a long time. Probably was on it around 1805. Stanislaw Staszic, for sure on August 3, 1841 Ludwik Zejszner with his companions. The first recorded winter ascent: Mychajło Bojczuk and Mariusz Zaruski in 1904.
The lower part of these south-eastern slopes leads the black tourist trail from the Caterpillar Valley to the Świnicka Pass. It is very avalanche. In winter, if necessary, it is safer to ascend the north-eastern ridge of Pośredniej Turni
