Czubik, Tatra National Park
Facts and practical information
Czubik - an unclimbed peak in the Western Tatras. It is located on the side, north ridge of Mt Kończysty Wierch. This ridge separates the Starorobotynska Valley from the Jarząbcza Valley. Czubik is located between Konczysty Wierch, separated from it by Dudowa Prze喚cz and Trzydniowianski Wierch, from which it is separated by Nad Neck Pass.
Czubik's ridge and slopes are rounded and relatively gentle. In the upper part they are grassy and overgrown with clumps of dwarf pine. Among the grasses the dominant is sit skucina, dog's twine, there are numerous large clumps of blueberries. They look especially impressive in autumn, when they change their color.
On the eastern slopes descending into the Starorobocinska Valley there is Dudowy Kocioł and Dudowe Stawki, and even below them the slopes are undercut by the steep rock walls of Dudowe Turni with Wielka Szczerba Canyon, through which water flows from the Dudowe Stawki and in which there is a waterfall. On the other hand, to the Jarząbcza Valley falls from Czubik a perch of the Przykrej Kopa separating the Wąskie Żlebki with numerous springs in the lower part from the Żleb spod Czubik.
