Rezerwat Krutynia Dolna

Krutynia Dolna - a landscape-floristic-faunist nature reserve located in the Mazurian Landscape Park. The reserve includes the lower stretch of the Krutynia River and the following lakes: Gardyńskie, Malinówko, Dłużec and Smolak. It also includes adjacent forests, peat bogs and meadows.
The purpose of creating a reserve was to preserve in a natural state post-glacial landscape, natural water ecosystems and a unique wealth of flora and fauna, in particular, high, transitional and low peat bogs with their flora, and biotopes of birds of prey. The reserve is characterized by a very varied surface shape.
The Krutynia River is a popular route for water canoeing, and overland hiking trails run through the reserve.
