It was formerly owned by Peter the Great, Count Grigory Orlov, and Count Stenbock-Fermor. The Lakhta railway station of the Primorsky Railway connects Lakhta to Central Saint Petersburg. The historical area of Olgino lies south-west of Lakhta. ()
