Facts About Gitarijada
Gitarijada is a vibrant music festival held in Zaječar, Serbia, and has been energizing the region since 1966. As one of the longest-running festivals in Serbia and Southeastern Europe, it is a cherished event that attracts music enthusiasts from far and wide. What sets Gitarijada apart is its emphasis on young and emerging bands, providing them with a significant platform to showcase their talent. However, the festival is not limited to newcomers; seasoned artists also grace the stage, ensuring a well-rounded musical experience.
The festival originated from the vision of Momčilo Radenković, a guitarist and vocalist from the band Zlatni Prsti. Over time, Kosta Kostadinović, fondly known as "Čauš" assumed the role of the principal organizer. The inaugural event took place at Dom JNA in Zaječar.
