Hlinińska Turnia is located in the side ridge of Tatra departing from the main ridge in Cubryn, called the main ridge of the branch of Krywanie. Hlińska Turnia is a key peak, an another side ridge called the Basch ridge goes in its top. More precisely, the keypoint point is about 8 m north of the top, so it does not rise above the Hlińska Valley, but the wall of Hlińska Turnia falls to this valley.
HLIŃSKA Turnia is adjacent to: in the main ridge of the branch of Krywanie with the Szczyrbski peak, they are separated by the Młynicka Przełęcz, and with Koprowa Turnia, separates them by Hlińska Przełęcz, within Biast Baszt With a great capia Turnia, they are separated by the Basztowa Przełęcz.
The slopes of the summit fall towards three Tatra valleys: Mięguszowiecka, Młynicka and Hlińska, from which the name of the top comes. The highest and most steep is the northern wall falling into the Hlińska Valley. It has a height of about 300 m. Less steep is the 250-meter height, the eastern wall falling into the valley of Sataniej. Towards the southwest, a slope falls into the Młynicka Valley, only in some places that have the character of a wall.
In the former Polish literature, Hlińska Turnia was called the tower, the current name entered into use in 1907.
