Hińczowa Turnia, Tatra National Park
Facts and practical information
Hińczowa Turnia - the peak in the beef's back in the High Tatras. It is located in the main ridge of the Tatra Mountains on the Polish-Slovak border.
This is the first Turnia in the beef from the west. From the neighboring west of the Mięguszowiecki Czarny Summit, it is separated by the Czarnostavian pass. In the earlier Tatra Tathers literature, the beef ridge was included in the Hińczowa Turnia massif to the beef to the beef Przehyba. Arno Puškáš gave detailed names to individual turns and switches in 1981 in volume 7 of his guide. In the current approach, Hińczowa Turnia is located between the Czarnostawińska Pass in the west and Hińczowa Szczerbina in the east. The northern wall of Hińczowa Turnia falling to the Wyzhie Czarnostavian boiler is 230 m. In its lower part a giant chimney cuts in its lower part, which branches into two shallow depression. Law heads towards Szczerbinka under the western vertex of Hińczowa Turnia, left towards Hińczowa Przehybie. The southern wall falls to the Hińczowa Valley. To the Czarnostavian Pass, Hińczowa Turnia falls almost with a vertical fault with a height of about 40 m. A similar, also vertical, but lower fault falls to Hińczowa Szczerbina, while its ridge is almost flat and levels, which gives it a rectangular shape.
The name of Hińczowa Turnia comes from Hińczowy Stawów. In earlier literature, Hińczowa Turnia's topography was incorrectly described. According to the great Tatra Encyclopedia, Hińczowa Turnia is a high -southern southern ridge of Wołowiec Mięguszowiecki. This would place it simultaneously over the Hińczowa Valley and the Żabia Mięguszowiecka Valley. Also the description of Arno Puškáš is unclear because ambiguous. Hińczowa Turnia on the Polish map is also incorrectly marked as a keystone, but well on Słowacka. Władysław Cywiński believes that probably both Witold Henryk Paris, and Arno Puškáš, described this place in the view from a distance, not examining on the spot. In fact, the keystone for the ridge of Wołowiec Mięguszowiecki is located east behind Hińczowa Szczerbina. It is a Hińczowy Zwornik, described and named by W. Cywiński. Hińczowa Turnia is not located on the frog of the Mięguszowiecka Valley.
On the northern wall of Hińczowa Turnia there was a sharp indent to a depth of about 4 m Szczerbinka with a large nail mounted. In 1966, there was a marriage, as a result of which a rock bridge was created over Szczerbinka from fallen boulders. It consists of a rock block measuring 2 × 2 m and 1 m thick. Under the block there is a rock window. It is visible from the Hińczowa Valley and the ridge of the beef.
