Niżnie Rysy - a peak in the northern ridge of Rysy, separating the White Water Valley and the Rybiego Potok valley. This is the side ridge of the High Tatras. It is run by the Polish-Slovak border. Niżnie Rysy lie between the middle, northwestern vertex of Rysy and the frog of the Wyżnia peak. Niżnie Rysy is the third largest peak in Poland.
Poland and Slovak name comes from neighboring features. In German and Hungarian names, the peak commemorates the German mountaineer from Spisz - Franz Dénes.
