The cold peak - a jumper peak with a height of 2390 m a.s.l. in the main ridge of the Tatra Mountains. They leave him: to the east - the main ridge with the peaks: Kaczy and Batyżowiecki. The ridge separates the valleys: Batizowiecka and the Kacza valley belonging to the Biała Water Valley system. From Kacze Summit, the frozen peak is separated by a Jurgian pass, above them there are also Jurgian return. In the northwestern direction-the main ridge with the eastern peak of the iron gate, snowy kicks, the western peak of the iron gate, nourishing, ruman and porch. The ridge separates the valleys: the Złomisk Valley from the Kacza Valley. From the eastern peak of the iron gate, the peak is cold separated by a switch. The lateral ridge of the ending, which separates the Złomisk Valley and the Stolska Valley from the Batyżowiecka Valley, departs from him south. The keypoint point is not in the very top of the cold peak, but several meters southwest of it. The closest to the cold peak is Turnia Drąg, separated from him by the pass near Drąg.
The first recorded entrances belong to Hungarian mountaineers: summer - Oliver Gömöry and guide Paul Kirner, August 15, 1890. Winter - Gyula Hefty and Lajos Rokfalus, April 27, 1913.
The name of the summit refers to the Zmarzły pond located in the Złomiska Valley.
