Playa de Langre

Langre beach is a sandy area near the town of Langre, in the municipality of Ribamontán al Mar.
It is about one kilometre long at high tide and is enclosed by a 25-metre high cliff next to a coastal rasa. In reality Langre beach is divided into two sections, a small one and a wider one which is accessed by going down some stairs. Approximately half of the beach is for nudist use.
Frequented by surfers given good orientation of the beach to the sea, its wave can be described as acceptable for this sport, as it can reach a considerable size, although it does not hold much. In its cliffs sport diving is practised. With a rocky bottom, it is home to a variety of animal and plant species. Although the visibility of the water for the practice of diving is similar to the rest of the Cantabrian coast, which can be from average to reduced.
