The refuge of Respomuso is located next to the ibón of the same name, situated in the valley of Tena, in the cirque of Piedrafita, at 2220 m of altitude.

Administratively it is located within the municipality of Sallent de Gállego, in the Alto Gállego region, in the province of Huesca, in the autonomous community of Aragón.

It is a mountain refuge kept all year round with 105 beds in bunk beds and bunk beds. It has running water, showers and toilets, hot water, bar and dining room service, blankets, heating, fireplace, cooking facilities, lockers, ski lockers, rest shoes and audiovisual room. It also offers telephone and telecommunications system for rescue.
