Felsenkopf
Facts and practical information
With an altitude of 2835 meters, the Felsenkopf is the fourth highest mountain of the Rätikon, a mountain group of the central Eastern Alps and belongs to the Schesaplana group. The survey point of the peak is located in the Austrian province of Vorarlberg, the state border with the Swiss canton of Graubünden runs about 500 meters southwest.
The rocky head is part of a ridge that runs from Schesaplana in a northeasterly direction. The mountain has no particular dominance, first ascents from the first and second epochs of Alpine development from the 19th century have not been handed down.
