Landsberger Hütte

The Landsberger Hütte is a category I mountain hut of the Landsberg Section of the German Alpine Club in the Tannheimer Tal valley in Tyrol at 1810 m a.s.l. It was built in 1929 and expanded in 1966.
Landsberger hut is open from the end of May to mid-October. The hut has 100 mattress dormitories and 30 beds. Outside the hut opening hours, a winter room with 10 overnight places is available.
The hut is located in the middle of the Vilsalpsee nature reserve in the Vilsalpsee mountains, a subgroup of the Allgäu Alps. A few meters away is the Lache, a small mountain lake. The Landsberger Hütte is the base of the 2nd stage of the long-distance hiking trail "Grenzgänger" along the border between Tyrol and the Allgäu and a popular destination for day visitors from the Tannheimer Tal.
