Brennkogel, National parks of Austria
Facts and practical information
Brennkogel is a 3018 m above sea level mountain in the Glockner group of the Hohe Tauern in Austria. The peak is located in the main ridge of the Alps, exactly on the border line between Carinthia and Salzburg, about 2.5 km as the crow flies northwest of the Hochtor. On the partially marked normal ascent from the Hochtor and from the Fuscher Törl, the summit is relatively easy to reach in snow-free and dry conditions. In favorable weather, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Großglockner and the surrounding mountains from the summit.
