Facts and practical information

The Grosser Donnerkogel is a 2054-meter-high mountain at the northwestern end of the Gosaukamm in the Dachstein Mountains on the border between the provinces of Upper Austria and Salzburg. It can be reached from the mountain station of the Gosaukammbahn, the Gablonzer Hütte, the Stuhlalm or the Theodor-Körner-Hütte.

Northwest of the Great is the Small Donnerkogel, which is separated from the Great by the Donnerkogelscharte. The Donnermanndl, a rock tower, rises from the saddle.
