Przechodni Wierch
Facts and practical information
Przechodni Wierch - a peak 552 m above sea level in the Pieniny Proper, within the Pieniny National Park.
It is the south-eastern end of the Pieninek ridge protruding into the bend of the Dunajec river flowing around the peak from the north, east and south. On the bend of the river to the east of the massif there is the deepest place in the Pieninek gorge - the so-called Loch. Przechodni Wierch neighbors on the northwest with Sokolica, from which it is separated by the Przechodki Wielkie Pass. The slopes descending to the Dunajec River are quite steep, but the ridge itself, both in the direction of the pass and above about 500 m towards the south-east, descends gently.
There are no hiking trails leading to the peak; it is overgrown with forest and has no scenic beauty. It is well visible from the top of Sokolica.
Among the protected species of mosses, the following are found here: the common fir tree, the shiny woodruff, and the common beetle.
