Kačacia veža, Tatra National Park
Facts and practical information
Turnia duck - rising to 2197 m, in an empty ridge separating the valley heavy from the Kacza valley in the Slovak High Tatras. In this ridge, departing from a small porch to the north, they rise in turn: duck beak, duck turnia, empty turns and porch watchtower. Turnia duck is the most outstanding of them. From the duck beak she is divided by a switch near Kacza Turnia, from the empty turna - an empty bench. The Turnia duck has two vertices separated by Szczerbinka indented into about 2 m. The northern tip is higher. In the upper part of her left wall is a wide, plate-tired west of Paris, obliquely falling from the switch under Kacz Turnia to the right, on the balcony on its right pillar. Above the West, the vertical wall of the peak of the Kacza Turnia rises. The name Turnia comes from the Kacza valley.
The eastern wall of Kacza Turnia has a height of about 500 m and falls on the piairgi of the Kacza Valley and to Kacza Bay. Witold Henryk Paris described her height at about 300 m, but did not take into account the height of her left pillar, whose spur is the lowest point of this wall. The wall has three pillars and two concavities between them. The left concavity is deeper and has the form of a vertical lifestyle; Its left is formed by slung walls, right smooth plates. The upper part of the wall is crossed by the west of Paris, above it a peak block with a chimney turning into a deep jam.
The western wall is three times lower, but for mountaineers it is more important, because it is traveled by a descent path from Gaenkowa Gallery, and for this reason mountaineers walk much more often. The terrace under the wall of Gaankowa gallery falls on the pounding. It is crossed by several west, which has been led by climbing roads.
The third wall of Kacza Turnia, up to 100 m high until 2010, was falling into the eastern gully of the empty bench. It has an oblique base, is vertical and there are hood belts in it. The shape and destruction resembles the western wall of Kościelec.
