Veľký Žabí štít / Żabi Szczyt Wyżni, Tatra National Park
Facts and practical information
Żabi peak Wyżnia - a peak in the direct near Żabia ridge in the High Tatras. In this ridge there is a fall switch, the only Tatra Zwornikowa Pass. The very tip of the frog of the Wymy's peak is already rising outside the ridge of Żabi, just on the north-eastern side of the swinged switch. In a broad approach, however, its massif is limited by three passes: a heavy switch separating him from the Low Rysy, Białczańska Wyżnia Pass separating him from the frog Mnich, the miller's pass separating him from the miller's massif.
In the shot described above, the Żabi peak Wyżnia is the highest hill in Żabia Granie and rises above the three valleys: from the west on the Czarnostawiński boiler in the Fish Potok Valley, from the north above the Valley of Żabich Białcza Staws, from the south -east above the estate.
The very tip of the frog of the Wymości peak rises only above two valleys. The Polish-Slovak border runs it. From the Valley of Żabich Stawów Białczańskie is visible as a rocky pyramid, and from the vicinity of Czarny Staw is not substantial. The massif is a bit retracted to the east, which is why it is not visible from Morskie Oko. The view from the summit is very limited by Niżnie Rysy, but more extensive than from other peaks of Żabia Granie.
The name of the peak, like many other objects in Żabia Granie, comes from the name "Żabie", which was generally determined by the area on the eastern side of the fish stream along with the entire valley of Żabich Białcza Staws.
