Predná Bašta, Tatra National Park
Facts and practical information
Intermediate Tower - a peak in the High Tatras located in Slovakia, in the border of the tower separating the valleys: Młynicka and Mięguszowiecka. In the past he was incorrectly called the front tower. It is located between Satan, from which he is separated by a pass over the red Żleb, and a small tower, from which he is separated by a pass over a wide gully.
The lowest part of the southern, falling towards the wide gully of the southern border of the intermediate tower is a grassy-rocky, not very steep ridge. In the higher part there are numerous turnits, Szczerbinki and steep faults. The eastern wall of the intermediate tower has a height of about 700 m. It is limited by two deep gults: a red gully on the north side and a wide gully on the southern one. The western wall about 430 m high falls on the shinner in the Młynicka Valley. From the north side, it is limited by a narrow gully falling from the pass on the red gully, from the southern depression falling from the pass on a wide gully.
Immediately on the southern side of the top and about 35 m lower in the intermediate tower there is a nameless saddle. Towards the pond over the jump in the Młynicka Valley, the left gulf of the western wall falls from it. From the side of the Mięguszowiecka Valley, a grassy gully falls from the saddle, below the chimney. The saddle is of great importance for mountaineers; It crosses all the variants of roads leading the ridge and 4 roads leading through the walls.
