Patria, Tatra National Park
Facts and practical information
Extreme tower - the Tatra peak located in Slovakia, in the border of the tower separating the valley: Młynicka and Mieguszowiecka.
The extreme tower ending the tower's ridge is adjacent to the Little Tower, from which she is separated by the pass of Skokiem. South from the top, the piasets of the slopes, passing into grass covered with grass, and lower with a dwarfed slope, which passes into a forest ridge called Drygant. On the southern, gently inclined slopes classic for the Tatra Mountains of the vegetation; Well -preserved spruce forests, above lime forests and impenetrable thickets of dwarfs. Western slopes are much more steep; Belt of crushed walls up to several dozen meters, piasets and steep, lesist-Coster slope. In the lower part of the slope falling on an intermediate clearing there are two turns: Turnia before jumping and a wall before jumping, separated by a gully before jumping.
The slope falling towards the southern east and east, to the Mięguszowiecka Valley, has a destruction of over 600 m. It is so steep that it is difficult to determine whether it is still a slope or a wall. Between its base and the Tatra Magista there is a belt of a dwarfish with a vertical span of about 200 m. On the sides it is limited by a gully from the pass over the jump and depression from the Basztowa Przehyba. A rib falls towards the east of the bulge. There are three deep ghosts between him and Basztowa Przehyba. The right of them falls onto the dwarfed fields over the Tatra Magistrala, the other two are the right branches of Basztowa Przehyba. In the steep southeastern slopes of the illusory tower there is an outstanding Turnia-a tower needle.
In the slopes of the extreme tower, the remains of the copper ore mine were found, which was probably extracted here before 1535. Therefore, the peak was visited much earlier than the first recorded entrances. Tourists and cartographers have entered the top for a long time. The name Patria comes from the fiancé form of the word to look, testifying to the scenic attractiveness of the peak. Martin Rógh was the first known winner, later Jan Gwalbert Pawlikowski and Maciej Sieczka were here. The first known winter entrance belongs to Theodor Wundt.
