Velický štít, Tatra National Park
Facts and practical information
Wielicki Szczyt - a peak of 2320 m a.s.l. Located in the Main Gold of the High Tatras in their Slovak part. From the small Wieliczka peak in the east, he is separated by the Wild Wielicka bench, and from the liter jumper in the Litworowy Summit massif in the southwest, he is separated by a deeply indented Wielicka Przełęcz. The Wieliczka peak is not available with any marked tourist routes, for mountaineers the most interesting are its northern and northwestern cliffs.
The Massif of the Wieliczka peak extends from the Wieliczka Pass in the west to the Polish Grzebień Pass in the east, through which it is adjacent to the small high. The massif can be distinguished by several secondary objects, from the main top to the east they are: Wyżnia Wieliczka bench, Mały Wielicki Szczyt, Niżnia Wieliczka Ławka, cold kick.
The Wieliczka peak is a channel for the ridge running out north, separating the Litworowy Staw boiler in the Litworowa Valley from the boiler under the Polish Grzebie. This ridge is of a great bog. At its foot there is a litworowa Przehyba, separating the massif of the Wieliczka peak from Hrube Turnia. In the northern ridge, just under the top, the Wyżni Ogrodowe Przegoda Pass, below which the ridge is forking. In the north-west brain there is a low-garden passage, while the northern northern branch falls through the cold passage to Litworowa Przehyba.
The southern slopes of the Wieliczka peak fall to the Wieliczka boiler. Their upper part is the plate and urgent wall of the peak block, measuring about 70 m in height, with a foot in a gully falling from Wyżnia Wieliczka bench. The walls falling to the Litworowa Valley-northern with a height of about 250 m and northwest, about 300 m high are higher. They are separated by a northwestern pillar, rumbling in their lower 2/3 with over 300 m in height. In the lower and central part of the northwestern walls of the Wieliczka peak there is a number of piairly terraces called liter gardens-the Little Litworowy Garden, an intermediate garden and a Litworowy Garden.
The naming of the Wieliczka peak is derived directly from the Wielicka Valley below. Once, together with the liter peak, it was determined by the collective name of the High Gerlachian - due to the location near the highest peak of the Tatra Mountains, Gerlach. Earlier measurements determined the height of the summit at 2320 m, 2319 m or 2318 m.
