Facts and practical information
Wild- und Freizeitpark Klotten is an amusement park on the Moselle River near Klotten in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany.
The park was founded in 1970 as a pure game park by the Hennes family and was taken over by their sons Josef and Hubert Hennes in 1995. These began from 1996, in addition to the game park, to build playground equipment and rides. In 2004, the first major attraction, the roller coaster Die heiße Fahrt, was built and at the same time a three-stage expansion project was started. The wildwater ride Zum Rittersturz by ABC Rides was completed in April 2012; according to the park, it is Germany's highest wildwater ride at 25 meters, steepest with a 56° drop and fastest at a maximum of 75 km/h. The project plan still includes a new restaurant, a date for its implementation has not yet been set.
Another attraction in the 300,000 m² park is the bear enclosure, which was renovated in 2003. The keeping of European wolves was discontinued in 2017 and the wolf pack was given to the Alternative Wolf and Bear Park Black Forest in Bad Rippoldsau-Schapbach.
