Facts and practical information

The Catholic Church of the Holy Cross in Assmannshausen was formerly the parish church of the village. Today it is a branch church of the parish Heilig Kreuz Rheingau, a new type of parish in the diocese of Limburg. Since 2015, the so-called Rheingau Cathedral in Geisenheim has also been the parish church of Assmannshausen.

Since 2002, the Holy Cross Parish Church has been part of the Upper Middle Rhine Valley UNESCO World Heritage Site.
