Facts and practical information
The Steam Grain Alcohol Distillery Museum in Wildeshausen is an industrial museum demonstrating old processes for alcohol production. A special feature is a single-piston centrifugal regulator steam engine of about 15 hp, still in working order, built in 1887. The museum shows the production of alcohol from grain, its processing, bottling and corking, and even the labeling of bottles. The approximately 150-square-meter granary on the second floor is used as an exhibition space as well as for cabaret events.
