Facts and practical information
The Kaiser-Lothar-Linde is a large-leaved lime tree planted in honor of the imperial cathedral in Königslutter on a meadow next to the church. It is estimated to be 900 years old, as it is said to have been planted in 1135. In Königslutter, it has become customary to call it a thousand-year-old lime tree. The planting of the lime tree is said to have been commissioned by Emperor Lothar himself.
