The Waldecker Bergbahn is a small cabin railroad built in 1961 by the Cologne-based company Pohlig AG in Waldeck on the Edersee in northern Hesse.
The gondola lift has a length of 650 meters and overcomes a height difference of 120 meters in its course. The top station is located on the Schlossberg between Schloss Waldeck and the town of Waldeck. The bottom station is located at the western foot of the Schlossberg on the state road 3256 at the junction of the street name Abelauf/Seestraße just under 300 meters from the Edersee shore.
The rope has a diameter of 24 millimeters. The mountain railroad has six supports and 28 two-person cabins, in addition there are special gondolas for bicycle transport. The transport capacity is 720 people per hour.
