The Neue Kirche is a listed church building on the St. Marien churchyard in Wismar in the district of Nordwestmecklenburg. The nave of the nearby Marienkirche was unusable due to war damage, and so an emergency church had to be built for the parishioners of St. Georgen and St. Marien, which was intended as a temporary solution. This temporary solution has endured to this day; the church serves the Evangelical Lutheran Parish of Wismar St. Marien/St. Georgen in the Provostship of Wismar, Mecklenburg Church District of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Northern Germany.
