Facts and practical information
Ulrich Müther was a German civil engineer and contractor. He designed and built about 74 shell structures, in technical terms: double-curved concrete shell structures, and thus became an important representative of architectural modernism. Some of Müther's buildings are classified as organic architecture, such as the Ahornblatt restaurant in Berlin, the Seerose restaurant in Potsdam, and the Kurmuschel concert shell in Sassnitz.
