The Mainz parish church of St. Ignaz in Kapuzinerstraße is a neoclassical hall church. It was built from 1763 to 1774/75 under the Electoral-Mainzian building councilor and court stuccoer Johann Peter Jäger. It is dedicated to Ignatius of Antioch, a martyr and bishop of Antioch who died in 107 AD.
