The Neue Residenz is a multi-wing listed building on the Domplatz in Bamberg, Upper Franconia. It was the residence of the prince bishops of Bamberg from 1604 and replaced the Alte Hofhaltung on the other side of the square in this function. Today, the sandstone complex houses the State Library and the State Gallery of Bamberg. The rose garden of the New Residence offers a view of St. Michael's Church and the roofs of the civic center.
