The Natural History Museum Landessammlung für Naturkunde Rheinland-Pfalz in Mainz is the largest museum of its kind in Rhineland-Palatinate. Its exhibitions and collections focus on the biological and earth sciences in Rhineland-Palatinate and its partner country, Rwanda. Director since August 1, 2019 is Bernd Herkner, succeeding Michael Schmitz.
