The Severinstorburg, in the Middle Ages also called "Porta Severini", later Severinsportz, Severinspforte, in Kölsch Vringspooz or simply Severinstor, is one of four surviving city gate castles of the medieval city wall of Cologne, it is, along with St. Severin, the landmark of the Severinsviertel in Cologne and an excellent example of medieval fortification architecture.
