Goslar District Court is one of nine district courts in the district court district of Braunschweig. It has its seat in Goslar.
Goslar Local Court has jurisdiction over the towns of Goslar and Bad Harzburg as well as the municipality of Liebenburg, and thus over around 89,000 people. The superior court is the Regional Court of Braunschweig. The higher regional court with jurisdiction is the Braunschweig Higher Regional Court. The Goslar Local Court is also responsible for insolvency proceedings in the local court districts of Bad Gandersheim, Clausthal-Zellerfeld, Goslar and Seesen.
Since January 1, 2013, the Goslar Local Court has also been the Central Enforcement Court for the State of Lower Saxony.
