Riegeler Brauerei, Riegel am Kaiserstuhl

The company known in common parlance as the Riegel Brewery of the "Brauereigesellschaft vorm. Meyer & Söhne AG" was located in Riegel am Kaiserstuhl. The company produced at the Riegel site from 1834 to 2003 and grew to become the second largest brewery in Baden. Today, the Meyer & Söhne brewery company is part of the Fürstlich Fürstenbergische Brauerei, which in turn belongs to Brau Holding International. The "Riegeler Bier" brand has been retained, and the beer is now brewed and bottled by the Fürstlich Fürstenbergische Brauerei at its Donaueschingen site.
