St. John the Baptist is the Roman Catholic church in Loxstedt. It is a branch church of the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Bremerhaven-Geestemünde. The modern church building was built in 1965/66 according to plans by the Bremerhaven architect Jo Filke and consecrated on October 15, 1966 by the Hildesheim Bishop Heinrich Maria Janssen.
