Eastgate Berlin

Facts and practical information

Eastgate is a shopping center opened in 2005 at Marzahner Tor in the Berlin district of Marzahn, built on behalf of the ECE Projektmanagement group of companies. At its inauguration, it was the largest shopping center in the eastern districts of Berlin. It serves as a shopping and experience center for the catchment area of Marzahn and Hellersdorf and employs around 1000 people. A complex of post office and service cubes and the Marzahner Tor department store, which had been built in 1987/1988 for the then new district, were demolished for the construction.
