Oderbruchzoo Altreetz

The Oderbruch Zoo is a small zoo that became nationally known through media reports during the threat of the Oder flood in 1997. Special features in addition to animal husbandry are the attached village for the disabled and regular cultural events, including to the neighboring country Poland, as well as the multiple granting of EU funding for further expansion. The Oderbruch Zoo is located five kilometers east of the spa town of Bad Freienwalde in Altreetz in the Märkisch-Oderland district of Brandenburg in the Oderbruch region.
