Facts and practical information
The Protestant town church of Murrhardt emerged from the monastery church of St. Januarius of the monastery in Murrhardt, which was endowed in the 9th century, and has existed in its present form since the 15th century; it has served as the town church since 1867. The Walterich Chapel, which was added to the town church around 1230, is considered one of the most important examples of late Romanesque architecture in southwestern Germany.
