The German Toy Museum was founded in 1901 on the initiative of teacher Paul Kuntze and is located in Sonneberg, Thuringia. Since 1938, Germany's oldest toy museum has been housed in a building originally constructed in 1901 for the industrial and trade school of the Meininger Oberland.
