Church of the Holy Trinity, Düsseldorf
Facts and practical information
The Trinitatiskirche is a Protestant church in the Düsseldorf district of Rath.
The Trinity Church was built as the first Protestant church in its municipal area. The actual congregation was not founded until two years after the church was built. It dates back to 1901, when Rath was growing very rapidly due to industrialization, especially the Mannesmannröhren-Werke located in Rath. It is located in the then just densifying area of Oberrath.
The church was initially built without the tower. The tower was built together with the organ loft only in 1937.
Today, the tower with a square ground plan is characteristic for the Trinity Church. The baptismal font and a fountain for the garden were donated by a noble family.
