The shallow pond north of Meininghausen is a flax grotto north of the Ennepetal district of Meininghausen.
The former shallow pond is located on a flat mountain saddle on the city limits of Gevelsberg away from settlements. It has a length of about 30 m and a width of about 10 m and was fed by a spring that was located inside it.
Due to its local historical significance and for preservation for later archaeological investigations, the shallow pond was placed under protection as a ground monument.
