The privately run Leintal Zoo is a small zoo in Schwaigern that features about 40 species of animals in a near-natural park setting. The main focus of the Leintal Zoo is to take in and care for neglected animals. In the zoo concept, the individual animal and nature conservation come before species protection. Another focus can be called the keeping of primates, four species of monkeys with almost 50 animals can be seen. In total, the zoo shows about 250 animals in about 40 species. Annually, 50,000 people visit the Leintal Zoo.
